✨ Testimonial Tuesday 🌟
After living with worsening hip pain for years, Scott Sarnes spent the last 6–9 months before surgery in constant discomfort—struggling to sleep, unable to stay active, and missing out on the things he loved most. When the pain finally became too much, he knew it was time to take the next step toward getting his life back.

In this heartfelt testimonial, Scott shares what made him choose Lexington Regional Health Center, why staying local mattered, and how having surgery, labs, radiology, rehab, and follow‑up appointments all in one place made the experience smoother and more personal.

He describes the moment he knew he couldn’t wait any longer, his positive experience with our team, and the difference his hip replacement has made in his daily life—from moving without pain to finally sleeping comfortably again.

Scott says it best:
“I loved having everything right here. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.”
If you or someone you know is considering joint replacement, Scott’s story is a powerful reminder that you don’t have to travel far for exceptional care.

Our Story

Lexington Regional Health Center, formerly Tri-County Hospital, opened in September of 1976. The hospital began with 40 beds. Lexington Regional Health Center is a political subdivision, now 25-bed critical access hospital offering inpatient, outpatient, surgical, emergency and obstetric services. The hospital is operated by a five-member board whose members are elected by the hospital district.

Lexington Regional expanded its services with the opening of a walk-in Urgent Care in September 2011. Care was added to Lexington Regional’s array of services so that people would have access to non-emergency medical attention after regular office hours. It also provides a less costly alternative to a typical Emergency Room visit.

In May 2013, Lexington Regional starting offering on-site emergency room coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Lexington Regional's success is based on its commitment to quality physician leadership allowing physicians to provide evidence-based care in a cost effective manner. The positive impact has been seen in Lexington Regional's most recent overall ratings of the Emergency Department.
