We’re alerting all parents and caregivers about an important safety notification regarding infant formula:
What’s happening?
There have been 13 reported cases of infant botulism in infants who consumed the ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula.

What you should do if you have this product:
Check your formula cans. If they match the lot numbers listed above, stop using them immediately.
Dispose of the recalled formula safely or return it to where you purchased it. If possible, record the lot number before disposal.
Clean and sanitize any bottles, feeding equipment, surfaces, or utensils that may have come into contact with the recalled formula using hot, soapy water or a dishwasher.
If your infant has consumed formula from one of the recalled lots, be vigilant for symptoms and seek medical attention immediately if you notice anything concerning.
Key symptoms of infant botulism to watch for:
Poor feeding or sucking
Decreased muscle tone (“floppy baby”)
Loss of head control
Difficulty swallowing
Weak or altered cry
Constipation
Decreased facial expression
In severe cases: difficulty breathing
Important note: Symptoms can take several weeks to develop after exposure.
Reassurance for families:
Most infants on the recalled formula are not reported ill, and many infants on other formulas are unaffected.
If you’re using a different brand or a different lot of ByHeart formula (not those listed), you’re not impacted by this recall.
