BENEFITS OF IN-PERSON THERAPY (my thoughts!)

🫶 Nonverbal cues are much easier to read in-person than through the computer. This allows your therapist to better understand your needs. Nonverbal cues are also crucial in communication.

🫶 How wonderful it is to have a neutral location that is a safe, comfortable environment away from your everyday life.

🫶In-person sessions may increase engagement and foster a deeper emotional connection with the presence of a therapist.

🫶In-person sessions allow me to be present with you in real life and in real time

There are so many pros to telehealth therapy. Telehealth can increase accessibility and is certainly convenient. However, I hope to continue to offer in-person sessions for as long as possible. With the rapid advancement of technology, in-person therapy remains essential as no digital alternative can fully replace the depth and connection of human-to-human interaction.

As someone who specializes in working with young adults, it can be a very tricky place to determine at what point you feel like a “true” adult. Throughout our 20s and 30s, everybody is in a different life stage and that can leave us feeling uncertain in where we “should” be. So, what does the latest research say on when adulthood actually begins? Let’s take a closer look.
The thing that I love about this the most is that defining adulthood focuses on our psychological development rather than a milestone we need to reach (marriage, parenthood, career, etc.)
