Our Story

The Well of Lexington opened its first home in the summer of 2016. Women who enter the program will live in a supportive community for two years. The home helps women recovering from sexual exploitation and gets them back into society in a healthy manner. The Well of Lexington is a sister agency of Thistle Farms which has successfully been taking this "housing first" approach since 1997. We provided all of the services they need to heal from past trauma, improve their education, and address their physical and emotional health. In addition, these women will have the opportunity to work part-time for an approved employer or through a Well-sponsored social enterprise, allowing them to gain life and employment skills that will allow them to live independently, productively, and joyfully, reclaiming control over their lives. If you would like to donate to our mission please be sure to include a contact name and address so that we may send a thank you. Also, don't forget, we are a 501c3 and your donations are tax deductible.
