Allow me to introduce myself....

My name is Vi Vischi. I am the owner of Kentucky Massage & Bodywork. If you would've asked me as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would've told you that I wanted to be a paleontologist. 🦖 I still think that it would be a crazy fun career! Massage therapy would NOT have been in my top 10 for sure.

I've been massaging for over a decade now, and I still love it everyday. It such a rewarding career to have. I enjoy helping people feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I've learned that massage isn't just having your muscles rubbed on. In the beginning, I thought that everyone would get a good nap out of massage. Through the years, I have found that so many people get relief through talking DURING their massage!!!! I was so surprised that many people cannot turn their brains off while another person has their hands on them. I understand that massage is a really intimate practice. My clients trust me to help them on their healing journey.

It is important to me to provide a safe environment for clients AND my employees. For years, massage has had a dark cloud that looms over us. The s*x industry and human trafficking has worked under the guise of massage. This is why it is incredibly important to us that we are referred to as MASSAGE THERAPISTS not a masseuse. Please and thank you. I am grateful that I have had minimal inappropriate remarks directed at me by people, but many of my colleagues still fight it regularly. We are professionals that are working our way into being recognized in the healthcare sector.

We are so excited to welcome Lucy to Kentucky Massage & Bodywork! She will be taking appointments beginning in February.

Lucy’s journey as a massage therapist started at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy, where she learned a wide range of techniques from myofascial release, trigger point therapy to deep tissue work. That training added to her deep appreciation for the body's ability to heal when given the right kind of support.

She has blended those techniques with her herbalism practice, bringing the wisdom of plants into her sessions through wildcrafted, homemade body oils. These oils are made with devotion and intention, adding another level of care throughout sessions.

Every session is personal, It's about meeting you where you are, listening closely, and holding space for whatever your body is asking for.
