A Big Thank You to the Lincoln County Community for coming out to our Open House yesterday afternoon. It was a great day for the outdoor ribbon cutting by CARD Board Member Leroy Thom and all the people who came to celebrate with us. Dr. Bailey and his wife got to meet several of the participants and screeners here in Libby and the community got to meet with the ATSDR Grant people as well. Thank You Everyone who continues to support CARD in its efforts to provide Free Asbestos Health Screenings to those exposed to Libby Amphibole Asbestos while living, working or recreating within Lincoln County MT at least 10 years ago. Feel free to stop by our clinic at 118 W 3rd St., Libby MT Monday thru Wednesday 8AM - 5PM to see the clinic or to make a free asbestos screening appointment. Tomorrow afternoon is your chance to come in and see the CARD Clinic in it's new location at 118 W 3rd Street, Libby MT 59923. Come join in on the festivities, Ribbon Cutting at 3:15PM. Meet our new provider, our granting agency, and make sure to pick up an application for screening and make your appointment while you're here. There will also be refreshments and prize giveaways between 3-5PM.

Did you kow CARD does Long Distance Screening?

We know many people who were exposed to the Libby Amphibole Asbestos thru schoolastic events, during the clean up period and prior to the clean up had exposure risks and with the latency period of 10 or more years, it may be time to come in and get screened. Easy for the people who still live here, but not as easy for those who have moved away, or so they might think. We actually do provide Long Distance Screening to those who may have been exposed 10 or more years ago here in Lincoln County while they were living, working or otherwise visiting Lincoln county MT and now are elsewhere living life. If you or somebody you know from at least 10 years is interested, Please forward this infomation to them to they know that whereever they may live now, the past is still with them and they need not come back just for the screening which can be done at local health facilities near them.
