Camp Patriot has been successfully helping disabled veterans since 2005.
We all have people come and go in course of our lives. On some occasions out of the,” blue” we reconnect with friends from our past. And once in a while that reunion unveils that the friendship seems to pick up almost where it left off as if no real time has passed! And that’s special!
A few days ago a veteran & long time friend reached out not with just a, “hello!” But a very touching testimony. It’s been about 17+ years since I have seen Andrew and it was great he reached out. I asked Andrew if I could post this testimonial and he approved. He now lives in FL with his beautiful wife and six children. He is about to finish his law degree and is pressing on with life!
His testimonial! Enjoy
"My name is Andrew McMann. I returned home from Ramadi Iraq in 2007 after a devastating IED attack left me both physically and emotionally maimed. There were many people who checked on me and actively sought to help me. I want to speak about my friend and brother Micah Clark and Camp Patriot. When I came home Micah reached out and introduced himself through a mutual friend. I didn’t know much about Camp Patriot but I soon found out. Micah explained the mission of his organization and invited me to participate in outdoor adventures. Over the next few years Micah brought me on hunts and events that unknowingly to me at the time was helping me through challenging times. He introduced me to others within the community who have been great members of support. Not long before Camp Patriot acquired the Ranch I moved to Florida. My path has not crossed with my friend Micah as much as it had in years past. It has now been close to 20 years since our fateful meeting. I reflect fondly on and grateful to God that our paths crossed. I look back and recognize the healing that took place in my soul and body from those moments spent with Micah those veterans who shared pieces of my experience. I am far from whole but I am a more complete person because of my adventures with Micah, Camp Patriot and the veterans they support. This is an organization that was founded with healing in its wings. May God continue to bless Micah, Camp Patriot, those who have given so much of their time and talents, and the brave men and women who you continue to look after."
Camp Patriot may not be a, “Big” organization but it makes, “Big impacts!” In the lives of our disabled veterans and first responders.
