When it comes to your skin’s health, sometimes "more" is actually "less." 🧴
We often see patients trying to scrub away imperfections with harsh physical scrubs or daily acids, but over-exfoliating can actually damage your skin's natural moisture barrier. This leads to redness, sensitivity, and—ironically—more breakouts.
The Tip: Limit your exfoliation to just 1–2 times per week. Focus on supporting your skin barrier with ceramides and lipids on the other days. A healthy barrier is a glowing barrier! If your skin feels tight or "squeaky clean" after washing, it’s time to swap the scrub for something soothing.
