If you’ve never heard of the St. Andrew Christmas Novena, let me share something really special with you — and no, you don’t have to be Catholic to pray this. ✨
This novena is a gentle Advent practice prayed from November 30th through Christmas Eve. Instead of the usual nine days, this one is prayed 15 times a day, simply woven into the rhythms of your morning, afternoon, and evening.
And just to ease your mind — even if you don’t hit all 15 in a day, that doesn’t stop the prayer from being heard. God isn’t counting; He’s listening. 👂🏻
Most people pray it when they’re holding a specific intention close — something they’re handing over to Jesus with trust. And repeating the prayer throughout the day keeps your heart anchored in hope and the reminder that God is near. ✝️
If you’re wanting to feel more connected during Advent, this is a beautiful way to pray your way through the season.
Here’s the prayer:
“Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.”
Save this if you want to pray along this year. 💜
