🐾 Happy National Cat Lovers Month! 🐾
At Clinical Counseling Associates, we know our feline friends aren’t just pets, they’re wellness companions who bring comfort, joy, and surprising therapeutic benefits. 💛🐱
Here are just a few ways cats support emotional well-being:
✨ Stress Reduction – Petting a cat can lower cortisol and help the body relax.
✨ Comfort & Companionship – Their presence can ease loneliness and provide steady emotional support.
✨ Emotional Regulation – Cats help us slow down, breathe, and stay grounded.
✨ Routine & Stability – Caring for them encourages healthy structure and daily rhythm.
✨ Mindfulness – Watching a cat nap, stretch, or play naturally brings us into the present moment.
✨ The Healing Power of Purrs – A cat’s purr vibrates at 25–150 Hz, a frequency range associated with reduced stress, lower blood pressure, and even supporting physical healing. Purrs can create a calming effect similar to deep breathing or meditation.
This month, we’re celebrating not just the mental health benefits of cats, but also the beloved feline companions who brighten the lives of our CCA team members. 🧡🐾

Whether they’re curled on our laps or greeting us at the door, cats have a unique way of soothing the nervous system and bringing comfort and joy.
