💙 Missouri Children’s Trauma Network Training Summit 2026 💙
CCA’s CFO Jill Robinson and Lead Therapist Montana Bright recently attended the Missouri Children’s Trauma Network Training Summit 2026!
This important training brings together professionals from across the state who are dedicated to supporting children and families impacted by trauma. Through continued education, collaboration, and connection, events like this help strengthen trauma-informed care at every level.
We’re proud of Jill and Montana for their commitment to ongoing learning and for bringing back valuable insights that support the work we do with children, families, and our community every day. 💙

💙 Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙
This month is a time to center and support survivors of sexual assault.
If you have experienced sexual violence, your feelings, reactions, and healing process are valid. There is no “right” way or timeline to heal.
Many survivors carry shame or self-blame, or feel pressure to move on quickly. In reality, healing takes time, compassion, and safe, supportive spaces. Trauma-informed therapy can help individuals process their experiences, rebuild a sense of safety, and reconnect with their voice and strength.
Prevention is also an important part of this work. It begins with conversations around consent, respect, and healthy relationships—and with communities that believe and support survivors.
You deserve to be believed. You deserve support. You are not alone.

🐾💙 National Pet Month at CCA! 💙🐾
We’re back with another CCA pet spotlight, and this one is a perfect example of how every pet has their own unique personality! 🐱✨
Meet: 🐈‍⬛💛 Frankie & Tea – Liberty receptionist Michael’s cats!
Frankie is a black Maine C**n mix who isn’t afraid to make his needs known—he’ll definitely let you hear about it when he wants something! 😂🐾
Tea, on the other hand, is an elegant white Scottish Fold with a more “refined” personality. She’s got an aristocratic vibe 👑 and tends to “yell” when she’s happy! 💕 Even though they’re siblings, they’ve developed completely opposite communication styles—and somehow, it makes caring for them even easier! 🐾✨
We love seeing the unique personalities of all the CCA pets and the joy they bring into our lives! 💙
💬 Drop a photo of your pet in the comments!
Tell us their name and a fun fact or personality trait—we’d love to meet them! 🐾

So many qualities make up who we are and how we show-up to interact with others, and when it comes to getting connected in counseling, it’s important to consider those factors. In this article, the words “counseling” and “therapy” describe the same service, just as “counselor, therapist,...

💜 Month of the Military Child 💜
Military children may not wear the uniform, but they serve too.
This Month of the Military Child, we honor their Legacy of Resilience—the strength, adaptability, and courage they demonstrate through frequent moves, family separations, and the unique challenges of military life.
At Clinical Counseling Associates, we are proud to support the mental health and well-being of military-connected youth and their families. These children show up with resilience every day, and they deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
We see you. We support you. We honor you.

🎧🚨 National Dispatches Week 🚨🎧
April 12–18, 2026
The public often sees the “after”—but the “before” is a complex, high-stakes process managed by dispatchers in real time.
Behind the scenes, they are not simply answering phones. They are actively triaging crises, managing intense emotions, gathering critical information, and providing calm, steady guidance in moments of chaos.
Dispatchers are the vital link between the call for help and the arrival of first responders. They ensure responders have the information they need to arrive prepared, while supporting callers through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. This week, we recognize and thank the professionals who work behind the screens to help keep our communities safe. Your work may not always be visible—but it is essential, and it matters.
We see you. We appreciate you.

🐾💙 International Therapy Dog Appreciation Day 💙🐾
Today we’re celebrating the incredible therapy dogs who bring comfort, connection, and healing to so many.
At Clinical Counseling Associates, we’re especially grateful for our own therapy dogs—Mika, Ahri, and Biscuit—who show up each day with patience, warmth, and unconditional support. 🐶✨
Whether it’s sitting quietly beside a client, offering a gentle nudge, or simply being a calming presence, therapy dogs play a powerful role in emotional well-being. Their ability to create safety, reduce stress, and foster connection is truly remarkable.
Thank you, Mika, Ahri, and Biscuit, for all the comfort and joy you bring to our clients and team. We appreciate you today and every day! 🐾💛

🐾 Happy International Pet Day! 🐾
Today we celebrate the animals who bring comfort, joy, and unconditional love into our lives. 💙
Pets can play an important role in emotional well-being by offering companionship, reducing stress, and reminding us to slow down and be present in the moment.
Whether they have fur, feathers, or scales—take a little extra time today to show them some love and appreciation. 🐶🐱🦜🐢
The bond we share with our pets is truly something special.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month 💙
This month is a reminder to pause and reflect on our relationship with alcohol and how it may be impacting our mental health, relationships, and daily life.
For many, alcohol can become a way to cope with stress, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions—but it’s important to check in with ourselves and our habits.
If you’ve ever questioned whether your drinking is supporting your well-being, you’re not alone. Talking with a therapist can help you better understand your relationship with alcohol, develop healthier coping strategies, and create goals that align with your needs.
Support is available, and change is possible.
