πŸŽƒπŸ‚ Our Hearts Are Full (and our faces are still slightly painted)! 🎨🍬

WOW! We are absolutely overflowing with gratitude after our Fall Festival here at Liberty Community Living Center last night! The community showed up in such a spectacular way, and it made the day truly magical for our residents. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who joined us!

🍁 The Festival Fun Breakdown

Our incredible staff came together like the well-oiled machine they are! They were absolute rockstars, transforming into expert face painters and game hosts. Seriously, the sheer joy (and competition) in those bean bag toss games was the best part of our week. We had the most fun!
The pumpkins were a hit! Watching the kiddos and residents get creative with paint was a colorful, beautiful mess. A special shout-out to our Director of Nursing, who had way too much fun running all over town searching out those perfect, kiddo hand-sized pumpkins!🀣
The Cake Walk was a sweet success, with so many delicious goodies that sent everyone home with a sugar rush! A big thank you to some super special volunteers (you ladies know who you are) for helping run the Cake Walk and making it so much fun!
A massive thank you to all the local community businesses that donated amazing prizes for our raffle! Your generosity means the world, as all proceeds are going directly into our Residents' Activity Account to fund future fun!
β˜• A Bar That Saved the Day!

A huge thank you to our incredible social worker, Lundyn, and her hubby, Jacob, for setting up the much-needed hot chocolate and coffee bar! It was the perfect fuel that helped all the adults keep pace with the hyper-excited trick-or-treaters! You guys kept the energy high and the adults caffeinated!
🍭 Our Amazing Hospice Partners

A huge shout-out to our wonderful hospice partners who brought the treats and the smiles:

Dignity Hospice:They came through with a cotton candy table that had all the residents and kids grinning! We're pretty sure a few staff members had "quality control" duty on that fluffy sugar. πŸ˜‹
Hospice Compassus: They set up spooktacular cauldrons full of candy and treats for everyone who walked by. It felt like walking past a real-life treasure chest!
Enhabit Hospice: Their table was loaded with a beautiful display of random sugar goodies! (Because we all know "random sugar goodies" is the best kind of category!)

⭐ A Special Shout-Out to Our Decoration Dream Team!

To Robyn, Ty, and Tracy: We simply cannot thank you enough. The decorations were absolutely stunning and scary, transforming our center into a fabulous fall funland. Your tireless work, dedication, and amazing efforts securing donations truly made this event the biggest and best one yet! You guys deserve a standing ovation (and maybe a nap).

Thank you again to our entire community. We are so grateful to have you all as part of our extended family!

πŸ’œπŸŽ—οΈ **Honoring Lives, Lifting Prayers: A Day for Alzheimer's Awareness at Liberty Community Living Center** πŸŽ—οΈπŸ’œ

Yesterday, our hearts were full as residents and staff came together for a deeply meaningful event to raise awareness and offer comfort for those affected by Alzheimer's Disease.

In a moment of quiet reflection, we gathered to release purple balloons into the sky. With each balloon, a silent or spoken prayer was liftedβ€”for every individual living with an Alzheimer's diagnosis, for their courageous caregivers, and for the families navigating this challenging journey.

The color purple symbolizes the fight against Alzheimer's, and as these balloons soared, they carried our collective hope, our unwavering support, and our most fervent wishes for a cure. It was a powerful reminder that no one walks this path alone.

We continue to pray for breakthroughs in research and for strength and peace for all.

This is what we call a custom-made happy ending! πŸ’–

We are thrilled to share these adorable pictures of our resident Cheryl celebrating the delivery of her beautiful new custom-made pink wheelchair! This perfect ride was delivered by our wonderful partners at National Seating and Mobility, with our amazing COTA, Melissa, right there to share the excitement.

Cheryl is absolutely beaming because this chair was specially sized for her, and for the first time, her feet can actually touch the floor while she's sitting! That simple comfort and stability are huge. What the camera doesn't show is the whole crowd of her co-workers clapping and cheering for her as she celebrates her new wheels!

It's the small things that make the biggest difference, and seeing that smile light up the room is why we love what we do! Enjoy your perfect pink ride, Cheryl! 🌸

The 30th high school reunion of Amite County High School alumni was recently celebrated with our residents, marking a special occasion. Alumni engaged in a massive bingo game, interacted with residents and staff, and provided goody bags. We thank you for letting us be part of your celebration and extend an invitation to the Class of 1995 to visit again soon. God Bless.
