Our team's achievements are worthy of recognition, and we take pride in celebrating them. Administrator week was the starting point. Ashlee's exceptional leadership has driven us to achieve excellence and impressive results. We also expressed our appreciation for our HR manager, Brent, who brightens up the workplace every day. Lastly, we celebrated our Maintenance Director George’s remarkable 2-year anniversary with Avalon and his above and beyond commitment.

This week at Avalon, our Baking Club rolled up their sleeves and filled the halls with the warm smell of homemade Irish Cinnamon Soda Bread as we gear up for St. Patrick’s Day.

Flour on the tables, laughter in the air, and a few “secret ingredients” shared from generations past — our residents proved once again that the best recipes aren’t just written down… they’re lived.

From mixing and kneading to the first warm slice out of the oven, this was more than baking. It was memories, tradition, and a little Irish luck baked right in.

If the smell didn’t bring you down the hall, the smiles certainly would have.

To the Avalon View Team,

Today is simply about telling you— this building does not run without you.

Every resident who is safe, every family who sleeps better at night, every smile in the hallway, every call light answered, every meal served, every room cleaned, every therapy session completed, every chart documented, every ride to an appointment, every hug given when someone is having a hard day — it all happens because of you.

Long-term care is not easy work. It takes patience, strength, compassion, and a heart that refuses to give up on people. The residents we serve are someone’s mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, veteran, or friend. The care you give them matters more than you may ever realize.

At Avalon View, we are building something special. A place where residents are treated with dignity, where families can trust us, and where staff stand together as a team. That does not happen because of a building or a name on the sign — it happens because of the people who walk through these doors every day ready to serve others.

You show up.
You work hard.
You care.

For that, I want you to know this: you are seen, you are valued, and you are appreciated.

We are blessed to have a team like you.

Fat Tuesday came to Avalon View 🎷

If you’ve ever spent an afternoon in New Orleans, you know the sound — live jazz drifting through the air, conversations stopping just long enough to smile, and toes tapping before you even realize it.

Today our halls sounded just like NOLA.

We had live jazz rolling through the building, residents singing along, hands clapping, wheelchairs swaying, and beads proudly worn — no wild behavior required to earn them around here. Just smiles, music, and a good time.

For a moment, winter disappeared and Avalon turned into a little French Quarter.

Laissez les bons temps rouler… nursing home style.

The moment you plan a party… and a resident becomes the headliner.

Our Great Gatsby Speakeasy Valentine’s Extravaganza turned into something unforgettable when one of our residents completely stole the spotlight. No script. No rehearsal. Just pure personality, charm, and a room full of laughter.

This is what long-term care is supposed to be — not just care, but life still being lived.

Flappers, fedoras, jazz, and a star performance we could never have planned if we tried. Nights like this remind us the stories don’t end when someone moves in… sometimes they just get louder.
