In October 2016, LWC moved to its current location on the west side of Liberty, increasing our capacity to serve by 133%. This new space has been a blessing, allowing us to grow in our ability to meet the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those facing unplanned pregnancies in our community.

We’re excited to introduce Rachel Shipers, our new Advancement Director at Liberty Women’s Clinic. She shared a bit about her journey to joining the LWC family. Read her heartfelt responses below.

1. What brought you to LWC? I was drawn to Liberty Women’s Clinic because of its mission to walk alongside women with compassion, truth, and practical support. I’ve worked for years to empower women to choose life and access the care they need, and I deeply admire how LWC does that so faithfully in our community.

With experience in outreach, advocacy, and fundraising for pro-life and family-centered organizations, I know how vital it is to connect passionate supporters to real stories of lives being changed. The clinic’s heart for both mother and child reflects my own calling to advocate for families, life, and restoration in a tangible way.

2. What do you love most about the ministry of LWC? What I love most about LWC is how it embodies the Gospel through action, meeting women where they are, offering hope, and showing they are seen, loved, and capable. It’s not only about saving lives but transforming hearts and equipping families for the future.

I also value how LWC pairs professional excellence with deep compassion, serving clients with grace and quality care, while building strong partnerships with donors and the community. That connection between ministry and mission sustainability is something I’m deeply passionate about.

3. How do you feel about joining the staff? I’m honored and excited to join the LWC team. Working alongside a Christ-centered, mission-driven group is something I’ve long desired. I’m eager to use my experience in leadership, donor relations, and outreach to strengthen the ministry’s impact so more women and families experience hope and life through LWC.

I love building relationships, sharing impact stories, and connecting generous hearts to meaningful work, serving in a mission that truly advances a culture of life.

In 2006, LWC began the process of converting into a medical clinic to offer the powerful, life-affirming tool of ultrasound. In August 2007, the clinic was recognized as a Center of Excellence by Focus on the Family, received the Options Ultrasound grant, and began providing limited obstetrical ultrasounds.

On November 15, 1998, while prayerfully seeking God during a church teaching series on finding one's personal mission, Carol Graham, the founder of Liberty Women's Clinic, felt a calling to establish a ministry for women facing unplanned pregnancies. This calling grew into a passion for supporting both women and their preborn children, and with the support of many, Liberty Women’s Clinic opened its doors to serve on October 1, 2002.

November marks a very special milestone - it’s LWC’s Founder’s Month!

"This is a time where we remember all that God has done in the lives of women and babies in our community through LWC. By placing a call on the heart of our Founder, Carol Graham, and having faithful supporters like you, He brought LWC to what it has become today - a place where hearts are changed and lives are saved. We are thankful for His work and honored to serve alongside each one of you."

Our Story: LWC

We are thankful for the opportunities we have today with those who come in our door, yet we know God has more in mind. Our desire is to one day be the first choice for every woman in our area facing an unplanned pregnancy. We want to be the resource first on their minds, because they will know that our standard of care, our professionalism – and most of all – our love for them is more than anything for which they could ask. While we cannot predict how laws might change in coming years, we do know that in years to come there will still be women facing decisions of life or death for their unborn child every day. Regardless of where society takes us, they will need help and hope. We will be here for them.
