🌺 Opening doors to health care careers for Kaua‘i students.
More than 100 students from high schools across the island gathered at Wilcox Medical Center and Kaua‘i Medical Clinic for a career fair highlighting the many roles that support patient care. From rehabilitation services to food and nutrition, students explored more than 15 career pathways, toured departments and learned what it means to serve their community.
For many Wilcox caregivers who grew up on the Garden Isle, the event was deeply personal, supporting students who hope to one day return home and care for our Kaua‘i community.

💙 Throughout March, Wilcox Medical Center is lit up blue in recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and to show support for patients, survivors and families affected by this disease.
The blue illumination in the facility’s spine area serves as a powerful reminder to our Kaua‘i community that early detection through regular screenings can save lives.
The timing also lined up with Wear Blue Day, which made the moment even more meaningful. Team members had already gathered for Employee Appreciation Day, and many showed up in blue to help raise awareness and show support.
Mahalo to the Wilcox team for these thoughtful gestures and for standing with our community in the fight against colorectal cancer. 💙

❤️ Moving for Heart Health at Wilcox ❤️
The Wilcox Medical Center Cardiac Services team got creative for Heart Month with a lunchtime walk around campus, a simple but powerful way to support physical health and emotional wellness.
As an added boost, Star, Wilcox’s hospital facility dog, joined in on the fun. Walking helps lower blood pressure and glucose, and spending time with Star brings an extra sense of calm that supports overall well-being.
Mahalo to Wilcox Case Management Manager Jen Ishikawa and Lead Echo Tech Mary Matte for organizing this uplifting activity. A great reminder that even small steps can make a big difference for heart health. 🐾❤️

Hawaii Pacific Health and its member hospitals honor the Hawaiian language and its use of diacritical marks, the glottal stop and the macron (okina and kahako).
