✨ Teaching Tuesdays: Let’s talk about Extinction ✨

Extinction is a strategy used in ABA to reduce behaviors by no longer reinforcing them. When a behavior stops “working,” it will decrease over time. You might see a temporary increase in the behavior first (called an extinction burst), but with consistency and support, progress follows
We don’t just reduce behaviors, we teach better ways to communicate and succeed
