Hello everyone!👋😁💚 We are going to be learning about upper crossed syndrome and lower cross syndrome. Levator scapulae syndrome is usually caused by poor posture of the shoulders. For example, sitting at a computer hunched over with your shoulders rounded. This posture stretches the levator scapulae muscle and, if performed over a long period of time, it can cause inflammation and pain within the muscle.

Upper cross syndrome refers to the imbalance of tight and weak muscles of the upper part of the body, namely the neck/upper back/chest/shoulder areas. Lower cross syndrome refers to the imbalance of tight and weak muscles lower part of the body surrounding the pelvis/lower back/abdominal/upper thigh areas. These imbalances between tight and weak muscles can be attributed to our posture while sitting, walking, and driving.
