Last month, our Lilydale community hosted a birthday party for residents celebrating November birthdays. Nursing Director Sue B. dressed up and got into the act as Colleen Wold Hiebelev provided music and comedy.

We also had Michael Riddle host our morning Veteran’s Day Commemoration event, with coffee and delicious cinnamon rolls that were as big as your head!

And our resident Craft Club members worked on a Thanksgiving craft, making candy-filled rooster place holders for the Thanksgiving table.

Each month at Lilydale, we host our regular Made-to-Order Breakfast. Here are some photos from our most recent event, with Resident Director Jaime and Assistant Resident Director Leah serving breakfast.

Also, we recently hosted a live music performance from Weber/St. John, who delighted us with their beautiful Modern Classical Music. They even threw in some Bach for the traditionalists. It was a wonderful show.

At the end of October, our Lilydale community celebrated Halloween with all kinds of tricks, treats, costumes, and fun.

We had a final performance from Bandanahhh! We thank them for all the wonderful years of music they have brought to Lilydale. Happy retirement!

We also had a Halloween social with a costume competition and a storytelling competition. Bat Girl took the prize for Best Costume, and Dorthea won for the best story, titled “Freddy.” Eddy, our Housekeeping Supervisor, got into the Halloween spirit with a beautiful vampire costume. And Director Jaime got it all started with a spooky urban myth story. Everyone had lots of fun.
