Let’s Talk Hair Length for Waxing
If you’ve ever wondered how long your hair needs to be before your next wax, here’s the magic number: about ¼ inch which is roughly the length of a grain of rice.
Here’s why it matters:
When hair is too short, the wax can’t grab it properly, which means less smooth results (and more discomfort). If it’s too long, it can be a bit more uncomfortable — but don’t worry, I can always trim it to the perfect length before we start.
Perfect Wax Prep Tips:
Let your hair grow for at least 2–3 weeks after shaving.
Gently exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to help prevent ingrowns.
Come in clean and dry; skip lotions or oils the day of your wax.
Consistency is key. The more regularly you wax, the softer and slower your hair grows back.
