Fall Season Skincare Tips:
* Don't be afraid to beef-up your moisturizer for fall and winter. Use a heavier, thicker moisturizer in the colder months due to us being inside more in the dry heat as well as being in the very cool temps outside during winter.
* If you are 50 or over and using a Powder Mineral makeup, consider changing to a liquid version. Powders tend to settle in fine lines and wrinkled areas. Also, even though I love mineral makeup, the powder forms of such are very drying to our skin.
* Use a creamier cleanser in winter to add more moisture. Gel cleansers are great for stripping oil from our skin and will leave us at a disadvantage when it comes to the natural protection provided by our own natural oil production. As we age, we produce less and less oil naturally.
* Try out a Vitamin C serum. Start with a couple times per week and work up from there. Too much vitamin C can cause a breakout so workup to daily use slowly.
