Dr. Jacobson is a native of Lincoln who attended Lincoln East High School. She also was active in the Alpha Omicron Pi house at UNL, serving as Vice-President. She went on to earn her medical degree in 2015 from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. During medical school, Dr. Jacobson sought to learn more about the intricacies of ethics in medicine and took the extra initiative to acquire her Master of Arts in Bioethics degree, with a thesis on Facial Transplantation. She also completed a one-year undergraduate fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine where she lectured and delivered hands-on teaching to medical students at KCUMB. Following medical school, she completed her Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery Residency through Kansas City University-Freeman Health Systems in Joplin Missouri in 2020. To round out her training, Dr. Jacobson completed an additional year of advanced surgical fellowship training in facial and full-body cosmetic surgery with nationally renowned cosmetic and facial plastic surgeon Dr. J. Kevin Duplechain in Lafayette Louisiana, through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣6️⃣: what a defining year 🌅💖

Soaking up every sleep- deprived moment of intern year in Florida, living the beach life on Anna Maria Island, chasing sunsets, and sneaking in Disney and Key West trips whenever we could.

That year also brought big transitions: moving to Joplin to start my ENT- Facial Plastic Surgery residency, buying our first home, and stepping fully into the work that would shape my career. I was working harder than ever, growing quickly, and laying the foundation for the surgeon (and practice) I hoped to build one day.

Looking back, I’m so grateful for her: the younger, beach-loving new surgeon who worked hard, lived fully, and learned to trust herself. She’s a reminder to stay grounded, reflective, and authentically me in everything I do.
