Walking into your first pelvic floor PT appointment can feel intimidating, but here’s the truth: it’s way less scary than you think. 🩵

Your first visit is mostly about understanding you. Your history, your symptoms, your goals. Movement is gentle, everything is explained and nothing happens without your consent.

You’ll leave with a plan and tools you can actually use, not judgment or pressure.

If you’ve been putting this off because you’re nervous, consider this your sign: pelvic floor PT is about helping you feel better, stronger and more confident in your body, at your pace.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: just because something is common, doesn’t mean it’s normal.

This year, listen to your body when it’s sending you signals. Don’t live with symptoms just because you’ve been told they’re normal. 🩵

Not all PT experiences are created equal, and yes, there are green flags to look for.
Pelvic floor PT should feel supportive, respectful and personalized, not rushed, awkward or one-size-fits-all.

If your p*e lasted about eight seconds, your bladder probably wasn’t actually full.
That “just in case” p*e can train your bladder to signal urgency too early, and over time that can mean more frequent trips to the bathroom.
Waiting until your bladder is truly ready helps build better bladder habits.

Your pelvic floor has been holding it together all year… and it might be done.

Stress, travel, holiday routines, cold weather, dehydration and less movement can all push these muscles into overdrive. And when your pelvic floor is overworked or overtightened, it tends to speak up, quietly at first, then more loudly.

The good news? These are common signs, not personal failures. And they’re very treatable. Pelvic floor PT can help calm things down, restore balance and get your body back on your team.

Your pelvic floor does a lot for you, it’s time to give it some support. 🩵

If you’re home with your kids this week, just know: your pelvic floor is going through it with you.

Here are a few quick resets you can sneak in between snack breaks, sibling negotiations and whatever “fun activity” you regret agreeing to.

You might not get a full workout in this week, but you can keep your body feeling good until life calms down again.
