CI Support Group – Tech Help & Q&A This Saturday!

Join us this Saturday, March 7th at 10:00 AM at the Barkley Memorial Center for our next Lincoln Cochlear Implant Support Group meeting.

This month is all about technology support! UNL audiology students will be there to help troubleshoot CI apps, accessories, and assistive technology in a relaxed, small-group setting.

Lincoln has a CI Support group!

Did you know there is a support group in Lincoln Nebraska just for individuals with cochlear implants?

Our group is led by a second-year audiology student and supervised by a UNL audiologist, creating a friendly and supportive environment to connect, share experiences, and grow together.

📍 Where: University of Nebraska–Lincoln Barkley Speech-Language & Hearing Clinic
📅 When: Second Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
🌟 What we do: Each meeting includes discussion, activities, and strategies to help build communication confidence with cochlear implants. Meetings also offer a chance to share personal experiences, learn tips, and support one another in an inviting space.

This group began as part of a student Capstone research project and has grown into a welcoming community for learning, connection, and support. Whether you’re new to your CI journey, considering an implant, or years in, you’re welcome here!

💡 Friends, family, and guests are also encouraged to join.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, the UNL Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic will not open until 11am. Appointments scheduled to begin prior to this time will be rescheduled. Our staff will start that process as soon as they are able once they arrive to campus tomorrow.

Afternoon appointments will proceed as scheduled. This could change should UNL decide to make any changes to tomorrow’s hours of operation.
