🏋️♀️ Weight lifting belts are great! Especially if you are consistently lifting heavy or trying to push yourself to your limits. They are a great tool that can help with stability of your spine by providing feedback to your core.
🏋️♀️ However, weight belts work best with proper breathing techniques. So, if you have not mastered proper intra abdominal pressure (IAP), then I suggest you start there before adding a belt. If you are recently postpartum, post abdominal or low back injury, then take your time getting back to the heavy loads and really work on your IAP/breathing techniques for proper core bracing to reduce injury.
🏋️♀️ If you are having difficulty with finding the right breath, then you can use the belt, under light load, to give your core tactile feedback.
