Glutathione is often referred to as the body’s master antioxidant because it plays a central role in protecting cells from damage and supporting overall health at a foundational level.
Every day, your body faces oxidative stress from pollution, poor sleep, alcohol, UV exposure, and even intense exercise. Over time, those free radicals can dull skin tone, slow recovery, and accelerate visible aging.
That’s where glutathione steps in.
Glutathione works at the cellular level to neutralize these free radicals before they can cause harm. Unlike many antioxidants, glutathione is produced naturally within the body and is active inside the cell, where much of the oxidative damage occurs.
While the body produces glutathione naturally, levels tend to decline with age, chronic stress, inflammation, environmental toxin exposure, illness, and poor nutrition. Supplementation can help replenish and support optimal levels.
👉🏼 Not all glutathione supplements are equally effective. Oral glutathione has variable absorption, which is why liposomal glutathione, IV glutathione, or precursors such as N-acetylcysteine (NAC) are often recommended for better bioavailability.
As with any supplement, dosing, delivery method, and individual health factors matter.
Glutathione is best used as part of a comprehensive approach that includes adequate protein intake, micronutrient support (such as selenium and magnesium), and lifestyle habits that reduce oxidative burden.
