Upcoming Spring Herbalism Classes at SCC Continuing Education 🌷

Spring Cleaning for Winter Bodies - Wed, April 22nd 6-7:30pm — Learn about gentle herbal detox strategies for whole body health. You will enjoy samples, recipes and leave with infomational handouts. $19 per person.

Herbal First Aid - Mon, May 18th 6-7:30pm — Learn to remedy minor wounds using common plants growing around us. You will create an herbal poultice to take home and add to your first aid kit. $19 per person.

Crafting Herbal Remedies - Tues/Wed, June 2-3rd 6-7:3pm — Two day workshop that offers hands on experience in making medicinal teas, tinctures and infused vinegars. All participants will take home their own tincture and the confidence to continue creating more. Samples and informational handouts provided. $49 per person.

All classes will be held at the continuing education center on 68th and O St. in Lincoln. Class size is limited to 15-20 people. Registration online at southeast.edu in the Continuing Education portal, (search with keyword HERB) or call the Continuing Education office at 402-437-2700

Friends, it's time to gather.
Let's navigate these rough waters together.

This Sunday 12-1pm central, I'm offering a FREE one-hour online class that looks to our "Herbal BFFs" for support and guidance in finding emotional strength to care for ourselves and each other. Registration on my website arisebotanicals.com (linked in bio). The class will be recorded and shared with everyone who registers, so you don't need to attend live.

I'll be sharing slides, digital resources and discussing a few of my herbal go-to's for stress, grief and overwhelm because we are all living in stressful, overwhelming times of great loss and transformation.

This is an invitation to come together to learn more about accessing emotional support from the plant world. When we are feeling better supported, we can increase our capacity to show up in integrity for all that life demands of us.

Herbs offer so much in the way of reducing the impacts of stress and sorrow on the body while also illustrating ways of living in relationship with ecosystems that can navigate transformative change. Let's listen to our plant friends! I hope to see you there 🤍🌿

The pickup event for the Winter Botanical Bundles was a success! What a joy to have community, neighbors, friends and family come through for tea and good conversation while learning about the remedies everyone took home. Hawthorn, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Cottonwood were featured in the tea, tincture, syrup and salve that made up the winter share along with a beautiful Hawthorn print from . Thank you to for the gorgeous addition of the dried flower bouquets. Thank you to my brother Nick for all the ongoing work with the garage studio renovations (and the donuts!)

Winter Bundles sold out, and full-year shares are closed. There will be 3 bundles available for the spring share. Orders open in April, although Winter SBB participants git first dibs. Message me if you'd like to join the wait list.

Ended the day with a walk up at Shoemaker Marsh as the full moon started to rise. Imbolc marks the turning point from winter to spring. Today felt like a breath of fresh air.

Doors are Open 🦋 Registration is Live

Join me online for "Herbal BFF's" on Sunday, February 15th, 12-1pm central. An invitation to come together to learn more about accessing emotional support from the plant world. We will discuss a few herbal go-to’s for addressing stress, grief and overwhelm. As well as suggestions on how to access and work with these remedies. This is a free online class and intro to "Navigating the Highs and Lows Together" series.

The emphasis of this series is on interconnection and ecology.

How can herbal remedies support us in navigating difficult emotions in a complex web of human relationships?

What lessons can we enact for living through these extraordinary times by deepening our relationship to Nature?

How can herbal remedies support us in accessing and stewarding these gifts from our beautiful and abundant Earth?

Arrive curious to get to know the medicinal plants growing all around us, some likely right outside our doors.

We will discuss how to identify, grow, and prepare a variety of herbal remedies.

A limited number of add-on herbal bundles are available (pickup, local delivery and shipping available). I’m excited to offer this option which will allow participants to taste, touch and smell the plants we are discussing in each class.

This is a space to learn more to support yourself and others in navigating individual and shared realities of anxiety, depression and other mental health struggles. However please note that I am not a doctor, therapist, or licensed provider. I am a clinical and community herbalist with almost 20 years of experience as well as a deeply feeling human with over 40 years of practice, living in a complex web of relationships.

I am craving more spaces where we can come together and cultivate skills and remedies to suport each other in bearing witness to cruelty of these treacherous times.

As the winter solstice is just around the corner, I'm excited to invite you to take a peek at consider signing up for my 2026 Seasonal Botanical Bundles.
