Frank is improving his Parkinson’s disease one punch at a time.

“When I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I wanted to attack it head on. Rock Steady Boxing has helped make Parkinson’s just one part of my life, not the whole focus of my life. Joining this class was the best choice I’ve made for battling this lifelong disease. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to complete the workouts, but now I know I can.

Start Rock Steady Boxing. You too can take control of your life.”

Congratulations to Bailey Pauley RN, on receiving a DAISY Award.

Here is what a patient had to say about Bailey in her nomination:
"From the moment Bailey walked into our room, we knew we were in the presence of someone truly special. We were experiencing the most heartbreaking moment of our lives – delivering our baby girl who had passed away in the womb-and yet Bailey brought with her a calm, compassionate and gentle presence that made an unthinkable situation just a little more bearable. Bailey cared for us with a level of tenderness that cannot be taught. She took the time to make sure we felt heard and understood, explaining every step with patience and empathy. She treated our daughter’s life with honor and treated us with a kindness that we will never forget. One of the most meaningful things Bailey did was create the most beautiful shadow box to help us remember our daughter. It wasn’t just a memory box-it was a gift we will cherish for the rest of our lives, created with genuine care from someone who understood the weight of the moment. Bailey didn’t just care for me as a mother - she made sure my husband was supported as well. She checked on him, talked with him and made sure he felt just as seen and cared for. She sat with us, listened to us and created a safe space where we could grieve, talk, cry and simply exist without feeling alone. Her gentle words, steady reassurance and unwavering compassion helped transform a devastating experience into one that felt held and honored. Bailey is truly extraordinary. Any family would be blessed to have her by their side, and we will carry her impact with us always."

Thank you for being helpful and welcoming, Bailey! We are proud of you. The DAISY Award recognizes outstanding nurses at Bryan.

“This is my happy place away from business” 💙

For Deb Beck, connection is at the heart of everything she does. From greeting guests at Bryan to sharing her grandmother's salsa recipe with the community, she's built a life centered around people, passion and a lot of hard work.

No matter where you meet her, you'll likely leave with a smile, and if you're lucky, maybe a salsa recommendation.

Statins are one of the most effective tools we have to protect your heart. However, many people still have questions about what they are, who needs them and how to handle possible side effects.

Hear from Dr. C. José Friesen as he discusses the basics on statins so you can feel more confident about your care and the decisions you make with your provider.

How you feel when you look in the mirror matters.

Confidence is not about looking a certain way. It is about how you see yourself.

Focusing on your strengths and what your body can do can help you build confidence over time. Even small shifts like positive self-talk or focusing on your health can help you feel more at ease in your own skin.

Here are a few ways to build a healthier, more positive body image:
