Botox is best known for treating wrinkles, but research suggests it may also affect some of the pathways involved in acne. 💉
Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport may help reduce oil production, relax the tiny muscles around hair follicles, and decrease inflammatory signals in the skin. Because of this, some patients notice improvements in oily skin, pore appearance, and certain types of acne.
Studies have shown sebum reduction of up to 75 percent in treated areas. 🤯
Botox is not a cure for acne, but the science behind it is pretty interesting. 😎
