Celebrating a Life

At Bellows Funeral Chapel, we aren’t just a funeral home – we’re family. For seven generations, our family has been committed to helping families celebrate the life of their loved ones in a special and meaningful way. Our History

Unlike most funeral homes, our company did not start out as a funeral home at all. We began in 1821 as cabinetmakers in Pawtucket, who in the nature

of our work, would also make caskets and coffins for families who had lost a loved one. Being of a helpful nature, and understanding that there is a lot that goes into the process of celebrating a life, we would take the time to help these families navigate through the process. This lead to our evolution into focusing more on caring for the bereaved as opposed to producing a casket. Our business grew and grew, as we offered newer and more innovative services and amenities to fit the needs of families, from offering a home setting of our own for funerals to be conducted as opposed to funerals taking place in the home, to creating one of the first buildings designed specifically for funerals, when we expanded into Lincoln, to embracing new technology to enhance the memorial experience for families. We are Proud Members of

Selected Independent Funeral Homes
National Funeral Directors Association
Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association

Our belief in being helpful, diligent and caring, and our commitment to offering newer and better services has allowed us to be a leader in the funeral service industry. To learn more, please visit us at www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.
