Marlene is a 79-year-old who has suffered low back and leg pain for many years. It kept her from doing the activities she enjoys, including yard work, gardening, and tending to her flowers. Dr. Essay and his team suggested the option of a spinal cord stimulator and she was implanted with HF10 in June 2018. At her most recent visit, she reported complete pain relief and the ability to walk and stand for longer periods. Marlene is back to happily mowing her own lawn!

Dennis has suffered from post-shingles pain of the left shoulder and chest since 2009. He tried various treatments, including acupuncture, medications, and a consultation at Mayo Clinic. He reported, “the pain was severe. You didn’t touch me because it was on fire.” Dennis presented to NSPC and after a successful trial, he was implanted with an HF10 spinal cord stimulator in June 2018. He is now reporting 70% relief of his pain. Before HF10, he and his wife couldn’t even dance together. He is now happily back to dancing polka with his life partner and states “I feel like I could do anything.”
