Please join us in welcoming Lexi to NHO!

Lexi is a registered nurse who will be caring for patients in our infusion room. She brings valuable experience along with the compassion and dedication that define our team.

We’re excited to have her on board and know you’ll help us make her feel right at home!

More about Lexi...

Education: SCC - Lincoln. I was in architecture school for a year before getting my RN.

In your own words, what will you be doing at NHO: I will be using my experience to help patients at NHO feel supported, reassured, and comfortable during their treatment journey.

Fun fact about myself: I almost ran over Jack Johnson on his bike on the North Shore of Oahu. I had no idea it was him until my cousin, an Oahu local, yelled: "DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU JUST ABOUT RAN OVER?"

What do you love to do when not working: golfing, snuggling with my dogs, antiquing/thrifting, traveling

Favorite place in the world: Lewis & Clark Lake

What’s on your bucket list: travel to Ireland, golf in all 50 states

What excites you about working at NHO: I’m thankful to be a part of such a talented and supportive team (both to patients and new employees!). I'm also excited to learn a whole new "world" of nursing.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Maple Grove, MN. However, for the last 15 years I lived in Williston, ND, where my husband and our 2 kids (ages 6 & 3) moved from in January.

What are you looking forward to the most about working at NHO?
Expanding my comfort zone as a nurse & learning new territories in my nursing career, compared to the last 11 years of nursing. I'm also very excited to be able to work in a specialty area that had always been a dream of mine, however, never a reality, where I previously lived and worked.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Early detection saves lives, and screening can be quick, easy, and free.

NHO Pharmacy is offering FREE f***l immunochemical test (FIT) kits from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department for individuals age 45 and older. These simple at-home tests take about 5 minutes to complete and can help detect signs of colon cancer early.

Not yet 45? That’s okay. If you’re at higher risk, the Health Department still encourages you to request a kit.

✔ Calculate your colon cancer risk: https://ccrisktool.cancer.gov/calculator.html

✔ Pick up a kit at NHO Pharmacy or request one online: https://us.openforms.com/Form/fe72d0f2-7bf2-4ad6-8417-9319f9900654

You can even request a kit for a friend or family member. You’ll just need their name, date of birth, primary care physician information, address, and phone number.

There is no cost for these kits, and the process is simple. Watch how to complete it here: https://youtu.be/U2GT0KiIJEE

Taking a few minutes today could make a life-saving difference. 💙
