Tired all the time? It's rarely just one thing, usually it's a mix of stress, nutrient gaps, blood sugar swings, poor sleep, and sometimes hidden inflammation.

Here are 4 supplements we often look at when someone comes in struggling with fatigue:

- Magnesium - calms the nervous system, supports energy production, eases muscle tension.
- B-complex - fuels mitochondria (your cellular energy factories) and helps your body manage stress.
- Adaptogens (like ashwagandha) - support resilience to stress so you don't burn through your reserves.
- Omega-3s - reduce inflammation, keep cell membranes healthy, and even support mood.

But remember: these are never one-size-fits-all. The right plan depends on your labs, history, and root causes.

This Mediterranean Sardine Salad is loaded with omega-3s from sardines to fight inflammation, plus calcium, vitamin D, and protein to support your bones, brain, and hormones!

Ingredients
1 can white beans (drained and rinsed)
2 cans sardines (4.5 oz cans in olive oil, roughly chopped in large chunks)
1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
2 green onions (chopped)
1 to 2 jalapenos (chopped, seeds removed if you don't want the heat)
1 cup fresh Italian parsley (chopped)

For the Dressing
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 lime (zested and juiced)
1 to 2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 teaspoon sumac
1 to 2 teaspoon Aleppo pepper flakes

Instructions
To make the dressing, combine the mustard, lime zest and juice, garlic, sumac, and Aleppo, and a good dash of kosher salt and black pepper in a small mixing bowl. Whisk, and while whisking vigorously, drizzle in 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil, until emulsified.
In a large bowl, combine the beans, sardines, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and parsley. Toss gently to combine.
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking.

While you're tucked in at night, your body is doing far more than resting. Deep, restorative sleep is when your hormonal system goes into full repair mode:

- Growth hormone helps repair tissues and build lean muscle
- Blood sugar resets, reducing insulin resistance and keeping cravings in check
- Your liver can detox, processing hormones like estrogen so they don't build up.
- Thyroid hormones stabilize, setting the pace for energy and metabolism.

When you skimp on sleep (or have restless, fragmented nights), cortisol tends to spike, throwing off your delicate hormone balance. That's why poor sleep can show up as PMS flares, irregular cycles, or even stubborn weight around your middle.

"You're just getting older that's why you're stiff and achy." We hear this all the time. But what if your body is aging faster than your calendar says?

Stiffness and joint pain aren't always about the number of candles on your birthday cake. Often it's tied to:

- Chronic inflammation: from processed foods, stress, or hidden gut issues that keeps tissues irritated and slow to repair.
- Leaky gut (intestinal permeability): which allows tiny food particles and bacterial fragments to slip into your bloodstream, stoking more inflammation that lands in joints.
- Micronutrient depletion: low levels of magnesium, vitamin C, zinc, or collagen-building amino acids can mean your cartilage and connective tissue aren't getting the building blocks they need to stay strong and cushioned.

The best part? These are things you can actually work on. From personalized nutrition and targeted supplements to gut repair and lifestyle shifts that cool inflammation. You don't have to settle for "just getting older." Let's help you feel younger in your joints so you can keep moving with ease.

Drinking tons of water but still feeling thirsty, fatigued, or crampy? It might not be about more water, it could be about missing minerals.

Your cells need electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium to actually pull water inside. Without them, you're basically just flushing fluid through.

To up your electrolyte intake easily:

- Try adding a pinch of quality sea salt or a squeeze of lemon to your water.
- Snack on potassium-rich foods like avocado & leafy greens.
- Include magnesium-rich nuts & seeds.

It's a simple shift that can support energy, muscle function, and even your adrenals, so you're truly hydrated from the inside out.

Most people don't realize your body needs trillions of microbes, on your skin, in your gut, and even in your lungs, to train your immune system, control inflammation, and keep harmful invaders in check.

When you overuse sanitizers and antibacterial soaps, you're not just killing germs... you're wiping out your protective allies. Over time, that can mean more allergies, eczema, digestive troubles, and getting sick more often.

Maybe your periods have gotten heavier or more irregular.
Maybe your PMS is louder with more bloating, breast tenderness, mood swings, or cravings that hit hard.
Maybe your energy just doesn't bounce back the way it used to.

Stress, gut health shifts, thyroid changes, and even subtle nutrient deficiencies all influence how your hormones show up. It's not just "age", it's your body asking for more support.

It's not all in your head, your blood sugar plays a huge role in how calm (or on edge) you feel.

When you skip meals or eat something super high in sugar, your blood glucose spikes then crashes. That drop triggers your body to release stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline to keep your brain fueled.

But those are the same hormones your body pumps out when it's in fight-or-flight. So you end up with racing thoughts, a pounding heart, or that jittery, uneasy feeling, mimicking anxiety even if nothing's actually wrong.

Keeping your blood sugar steady with balanced meals (protein, healthy fats, fiber) is one of the simplest ways to feel more emotionally grounded throughout the day.

Have you ever noticed this link between your eating habits and your mood?

We see so many people cutting out gluten, dairy, FODMAPs, or entire food groups and yet they're still bloated, gassy, or running to the bathroom.

Here's why:

- Low stomach acid or enzyme output means you can't fully break down food, no matter how "clean" your diet is.
- Poor bile flow from the liver and gallbladder can make fats hard to digest, leading to bloating and greasy stools.
- Stress slows motility, literally tightening your gut and changing how food moves through.

That's why we look at your digestion top to bottom from stomach acid and bile, to enzymes, motility, and your gut lining. If you've tried all the elimination diets but still feel stuck, it might be time to dig deeper. Reach out or book a consult, we'd love to help you get your gut truly working again.

Most modern diets are loaded with omega-6 fatty acids from seed oils (like soybean, corn, sunflower) and processed snacks. Meanwhile, we're often falling short on omega-3s from wild fish, flax, chia, and walnuts.

When omega-6s dramatically outweigh omega-3s, your body ends up in a more pro-inflammatory state. Over time, that can fuel everything from joint pain and skin flares to cardiovascular issues. The goal isn't to cut out omega-6s entirely (your body needs them too!), but to restore balance.

- Add more omega-3-rich foods like salmon, sardines, walnuts, flax, and chia.
- Reduce excess seed oils + processed foods that skew the ratio.

Small shifts = big long-term impact on how your body manages inflammation!

We hear so much about lowering cholesterol that most people don't realize... your body needs it.

Cholesterol is the raw material for making hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and cortisol. It also stabilizes your brain cells, supports memory, and plays a critical role in your immune system.

When cholesterol gets too low, it can actually lead to:

- Hormonal imbalances (irregular cycles, low libido, fatigue)
- Mood changes or memory issues
- Weakened stress response + slower healing

We look at cholesterol as more than just a heart number. It's a clue to your overall metabolic and hormonal health.

Want to see if your cholesterol is truly optimal for your body? Book a consult and let's take a deeper look together.
