A med kit is not a substitute for training.

A lot of people buy gear and assume they are prepared. They are not.

Preparedness is not just what you carry. It is knowing what to do when someone is bleeding, when airway becomes a problem, when shock starts setting in, or when panic takes over the scene.

Gear matters. Training matters more.

That is one of the biggest reasons I teach Defensive Medicine. Real emergencies do not care how much equipment you own if you do not know what matters first.

Preparedness is personal responsibility.

If someone you care about is badly injured, the first few minutes matter. A med kit by itself is not enough. You need training.
