Dr. Tyler Ideus

Dr. Tyler Ideus International Instructor of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Prague School of Rehabilitation. I completed my first DNS course in 2008.

Physician, Lincoln Performance & Sports Medicine, Lincoln, Neb. International Instructor of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) for the Prague School of Rehabilitation. Physical medicine specialist at Lincoln Performance & Sports Medicine in Lincoln, Neb. Dedicated learner of performance and treating pathology.

-----

I am a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Mo., and Nebraska Wesleyan University, where I completed undergraduate studies in athletic training and exercise science. I was first exposed to DNS by International Lead Instructor Brett Wi******er, D.C., during the very beginning of my doctoral education. This initial contact with DNS had a resounding impact on my course of learning and study, putting DNS at the core of every thought process and decision I've made. DNS has since served as the center point of all of my evaluation and treatment processes. However, I have worked to extend my knowledge beyond DNS alone, pursuing advanced education from the Postural Restoration Institute as well as Active Release Technique, dry needling and functional medicine. My philosophy is that all of these offer important considerations as we strive to understand and treat the nuances of the human body and human movement. If you've made it this far in my "About," thank you! I look forward to connecting with you!

I’m looking forward to hosting “Training Trunk Stability,” a course led and designed by Dr. Richard Ulm of Athlete Enhancement July 31, 2021, at Lincoln Performance and Sports Medicine in Lincoln, Neb.

Trunk stability training is rarely the focus of programming and often omitted all together, which is why it is the focus of this course. This course is for strength coaches, personal trainers and rehab specialists such as physical therapists, athletic trainers and chiropractors.

I always say three things occur after working out, competing, or just dealing with the daily stressors of life.

The first being your recovery matches your workload and you are at a plateau with no change.
Second, your recovery is deficient compared to your workload and you regress.
Third, your recovery exceeds your workload and you become stronger.

Take a look at Russell Wilson and how serious he is about his workload and recovery.

Which is why at LPSM we invest our time on focusing on these aspects.

With the addition of our LPSM Sports Lab we're obviously dealing with more than just your typical pain syndromes.

Here's an article that I was reading on jump techniques which was done by P3 Performance in Santa Barbra where I was able to visit last year. P3 has gathered performance data on nearly 1,000 NBA basketball patients to draw data from.

As you can see there are three different athletes and each has a different jumping technique.
Is there one that's better than another? What's best for different sports? Can it be changed?

If curious, we can help you understand and decipher it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jenny who has been on an incredible journey to move the way she wants for her goals and her life. Lincoln Performance and Sports Medicine featured her last week (https://www.facebook.com/sportsmedlincoln/videos/229053791740673) and in this video I'm providing some of the background and insights on her case. Let me know what you think!

Performance is something that I have always been very interested in, hence using the word in the name of the business.

After completing another course all about POWER things are really coming together in regards to assessing it and VERY specific programming.

I told a friend the other day that when it comes to assessing and programming for power on an individual basis it was like I had all the parts to build a car but not the manual to put it together. This course did just that for me.

I can't wait to put these new concepts into practice. Over the next few months, we will also be installing arguably the nicest 3-D motion capture system that exists today to add to our assessments. I couldn't be more excited to put it all together!
