April is Youth Sports Safety Month!

Spring sports are in full swing, and it’s the perfect time to make sure young athletes are staying safe while having fun. The most common injuries include strains, sprains, concussions, and knee, wrist, or elbow injuries, but many can be prevented with the right precautions.

Parents, check out our tips and share them with your kiddos so they can stay healthy and excel this season!

1. Warm up & stretch before practice or games.
2. Wear proper gear for your sport.
3. Stay hydrated and take breaks.
4. Listen to your body—don’t play through pain.
5. Strengthen & condition to support joints.
6. Limit overuse and rotate activities.
7. Cool down and stretch after activity.
