With cough, cold, and flu season still hanging around, we wanted to share one of our favorite natural remedies: elderberry tincture.
This simple recipe has been used for generations to support immune health and help your body fight off what's going around.
🌿 What you'll need:
2 cups dried elderberries (or 2 cups fresh elderberries, washed and stems removed)
8 cups of water
2 cups raw unpasteurized honey
4 whole cinnamon sticks
4 Tbsp. freshly grated/chopped ginger
2 tsp. whole cloves
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
Simmer elderberries in water until reduced by half, strain, let cool, then mix with honey. Store in a dark glass bottle.
Take 1 tablespoon daily during cold season, or every few hours if you're feeling run down.
Healing doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest remedies are the most powerful. 💜
