The event will connect those affected by layoffs in Lexington to resources such as unemployment insurance benefits, job search resources, and economic support programs. Nebraska VR staff across the state work to develop relationships with businesses. The Grand Island Service Office staff attended a Grand Island Chamber of Commerce event as part of that work. The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is a Project SEARCH host site (Project SEARCH-The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel). They have provided access and opportunity for students for years. The brand uses "Where Can We Take You?" as a tagline meant for hotel guests. For interns, the answer is to gain competitive, paid employment by providing them with a year-long, immersive, business-led internship program!
