Good morning 🌻 Life and business updates

February has been a crazy month and I'd like to extend my sincerest full heart 💚 of gratitude and thankfulness to every client I had to cancel or reschedule this past 3 weeks. I am working through my list to get everyone back on the schedule.

Schedule updates:

February:
I have one spot left on Friday 1130a- 90 min OR 330p- 60 min

March:
This is open! Start booking now!
I have updated hours to help monitor my health and keep strong.
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 1p - 8p
Wednesday: 2p - 7p
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 11a - 7p
Saturday: 1p - 4p

Health update:

I will start immunotherapy the first week of March, I am told I will not have the kind of side effects like chemotherapy. I will still need to keep my health and safety top priority as well as my clients. I will learn more Thursday about how treatment will go and what to expect. I will update you then.
But for now, reschedule if you or family has been sick, be extra careful about scent and smoke smells, as the cancer is in my lungs and I can tell I'm even more sensitive.

Thank you all for supporting my studio and myself throughout this process, providing a safe space for you to heal helps me heal too. Massage is my forever love and I will continue to spread this lo e until I can't anymore.

If you know me, I love bodywork but right now I almost can't stand being the client. I feel like such a hard client to work with right now.

Am I really? Not at all.

Why? Trauma.

Our bodies can hold an incredible amount of trauma and pain which can make it difficult getting or staying comfortable on the table.

Is this normal? YES!!

15 minutes into a session I want to get up, but I force myself to stay and allow the help because I always feel better after and my body is so thankful for the work but going through it is hard for me. I will ask my lmt to move on to another area, or hurry up, I move constantly or end early because my nervous system is over taxed because of the daily pain my body is in.

This is such a new experience for myself and has helped me to understand clients in my past that have expressed this during sessions with me.

What should I do when experiencing this? Speak up!

We can adjust and change to help as much as we can as LMT's. That's what we are trained to do!

This journey through injuries and cancer have really changed how I think, approach and execute sessions.

Speak up! It's okay! You matter! Your experience matters! You are not wrong to feel this way!

Back in the studio today, it's been 2 weeks! I've missed this space an incredible amount. I'm so thankful for these 4 walls, they allow everyone who enters a sage space to release, heal and move forward more freely.

I had the best cruise girls trip but came home to the news no survivor wants to hear, my cancer has returned and has moved to my lungs 🫁. I am not sure what treatment will look like at this moment. Here is what I do know, I meet with my gynecological oncologist this week to go over my results with her and get her opinion. Monday I have a lung biopsy and will need to take a couple days off to heal. After that we will decide what kind of Tx plan we will embark upon.

This will mean hour availability will change like last time. I will, like last time, post weekly what is or isn't open, when I'm closed and what to expect as we move together in this journey.

I am incredibly thankful for all of your continued support, understanding and patience at this time.
