🌟 New Community Resource Alert! 🌟

Kathleen Lodl and Jentry Barrett recently appeared on Pure Nebraska to share exciting news about the launch of the Community Resources Database — a 📍 one-stop-shop for locating resources that the University of Nebraska–Lincoln provides to Nebraska communities.

From 🎓 education and 🌱 agriculture to 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 family services and more, this tool makes it easier than ever for all Nebraskans to find available resources.

🔎 The database can be found at https://engage.unl.edu under Community Resources.

👏 Kudos to Kathleen and Jentry for helping make these valuable UNL resources accessible across the state!

After more than eight years of service, Dr. Mike Boehm shares a message of gratitude as he concludes his role as Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources for the University of Nebraska and Harlan Vice Chancellor for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Boehm championed the land-grant mission, built meaningful partnerships across Nebraska, and elevated the work of our faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders. We thank him for his leadership and lasting contributions to IANR and the state of Nebraska.

Nebraska Extension Roller Crimper workshop at ENREEC included lively discussion and demonstrations.

Roller Crimpers are commonly used by farmers looking for an alternative to reduce herbicide inputs and/or improve w**d management with their cover crops.

In this week's episode, we’re near Gresham with Jenny Brhel, Nebraska Extension Educator, reporting from a Nebraska On-Farm Research Network field. Jenny highlights key things to monitor, like early signs of seedling diseases and later-season issues such as sudden death syndrome and white mold.

The featured field was planted green into cereal rye, offering an example of a systems-based approach to reduce w**d and disease pressure. Jenny encourages growers to review past soybean studies at on-farm-research.unl.edu and reminds them they can send samples to the UNL Plant & Pest Diagnostic Clinic if needed. The conversation emphasizes how each management decision plays a role in the larger system.
