Join us at Raising Nebraska on March 23 from 4–6 PM for an evening celebrating one of Nebraska’s favorite foods — the potato!

Build your own baked potato at our potato bar and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly event where you can meet and hear directly from a Nebraska potato producer. Learn how potatoes are grown, harvested, and how they make their way from Nebraska farms to your plate.

We will also feature a live baking demonstration of a dessert made with potatoes, showing just how versatile this Nebraska-grown crop can be — from savory to sweet!

This is a great opportunity to enjoy good food, connect with local agriculture, and learn something new about the farmers who grow our food.

✨ What to Expect:
• Build-your-own baked potato bar
• Meet and hear from a Nebraska potato producer

For 50 years, Nebraska Extension's Embryology program in Lancaster County has brought the wonder of life into third-grade classrooms — one egg at a time.

In 2025 alone, nearly 4,000 students across 64 schools experienced the excitement of incubating eggs, learning about embryo development and watching baby chicks hatch right in their classrooms. Through this hands-on “4-H in the Classroom” program led by Nebraska Extension, students aren’t just studying science — they’re building responsibility, teamwork skills and a lifelong curiosity about agriculture and the natural world.
