Bluestem Health is a federally qualified health center (FQHC), which is a federal designation from the Bureau of Primary Health Care. FQHCs are either located in, or serve, a federally designated medically underserved area/population. All FQHCs must operate under a consumer Board of Directors governance structure, and provide comprehensive primary health care, dental, and mental health/substance abuse services to persons in all stages of the life cycle. FQHCs provide their services to all persons according to their ability to pay. There are over 1,400 Community Health Centers across the country that provide vital primary care to over 18 million Americans with limited financial resources. In 2019, Bluestem Health saw nearly 20,000 individual patients and serves as a “medical home” to its patients. The definition of a medical home is the coordination of care from care plans to appointments with specialists. The patient receives consistent care from birth through old age. The medical home serves as a guide to community support services from education to transportation.

Beginning January 2:
• Arianne Hollman, PA-C, will see patients at our Main Clinic, located at 1021 N. 27th Street
• Caitlin Neukirch, PA-C, will see patients at our Thompson Clinic, located inside Bryan West at 2222 S. 16 Street, Suite 435

Bluestem Health has some exciting news. Starting on January 1, our Health 360 clinic will become a dedicated pediatric clinic to focus on helping patients up to age 18.

Pediatricians Dr. Erica Peterson and Dr. Humaira Qasimyar will begin seeing patients at Health 360, and if you have an appointment scheduled with them after January 2, you'll be seen at Health 360, located at 2301 O Street.

With an entire clinic centered on care for children and teens, Bluestem Health is continuing to advance how we care for you and your family.

In 2016, Bluestem Health saw 10,785 individual patients for over 33,000 visits. Bluestem Health serves as a “medical home” to its patients. The medical home serves as a guide to community support services from education to transportation.
