“ There are good ships and wood ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, may they always be”. These friends had the most wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! They made amazing art at the day program and enjoyed a wee bit of corned beef and cabbage. And then an afternoon party that included pin the shamrock on the leprechaun, bingo, yummy green treats, and delicious Green River ice cream floats! ☘️

At Riverside, we are proud to be part of our communities - inclusion means acceptance as well as giving back through volunteerism. These friends visited Feed My Starving Children this week, and were so happy to make a difference!

CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) were introduced in 1989 as a way to promote inclusion and foster greater independence for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The month of March raises awareness to the growth of individuals in our communities! The Kenwood men love going to the library to pick up items of their choice - having fun and learning responsibility!
