Belated post for 's birthday dinner at in Asheville, NC!

To keep it short(ish), this was a culinary experience! The drinks were spectacular (the tsukemono, which is a pickle brine margarita for my fellow pickle lovers, is to die for), the chef tasting experience (10 course small plate meal) we had for dinner was out of this world, & the staff made it like telling a story through food.

It is definitely more of a fine dining restaurant price wise, but for the experience & service, it is well worth the money! If you're ever in Asheville & need a nice dinner out, you have to try them!!!

Happy belated birthday one more time honey. In case you forgot already, I'm still so in love with doing life with you almost 12 years later.

I've been breeding & growing out my own flock for several years. Chicken genetics are a funny thing all on their own, but convincing these inglorious bast.... you get the point 🤣 to pen together in specific breeding groups & cooperate is a whole other thing. Then factor in the unpredictable survivability of even the healthiest chicken flocks, predators, & getting EXACTLY what you were after, only to discover it's always a rooster 😭

So yeah, when I say years, I mean YEARS of crossing groups to get what I've been after. Starting in 2026, I will be offering bearded, muffed easter eggers SOME with crests AND some splash, turkens in all colors & a select few that can lay any color egg, a variety of project feather color olive eggers (focusing on deep greens & speckled eggs) & I'll be starting my final project of bringing fibro genetics into all the groups.

This girl right here is my absolute favorite so far. She was a weak chick, got stuck in her shell, spent her first 72 hours of life in a reptile tank in our house, & I syringed her water & food til she was strong enough to go in the brooder. She has followed me around her whole life & loves attention, so of course I begged & prayed for her to not be yet ANOTHER rooster 🥴 I'm a lot less sad about all the times I didn't get the hen I wanted now that she's maturing into such a beautiful, friendly LADY ❤️

I have been racking my brain for probably over a year now about rebranding, but nothing was coming to me. I think I was missing the "ah ha" right in front of my face. I didn't need to rebrand, I needed to realign & EXPAND.

Because let's face it ... if you know me, you I'm not & never will be a one trick pony. I'll never color inside the lines. I'll never stick to one or two things. I'll always overextend myself. I'll always be trying to push myself into new horizons. I'm always one step away from unleashing something else, whether in the moment, day by day, week or month or year, down to my next sarcastic or witty remark.

So KB is ready to unleash more publicly! I am a mentor, coach, trainer, vet tech, foster mom, hobby farmer, outdoors lover, recovered addict, ally, recovery advocate, animal lover, (published) amateur model, and recently became a wife to the man who's helped me learn to love the beautiful disaster that I am the past 11+ years.

Welcome to the new & improved social media of this crazy life I get to live. I'm gonna talk about all the things, the raw, real, sad, funny, taboo ... all the things. I'll be sharing businesses & events that I align with regularly too, because I know I'm just one speck in a great big world, but I still wanna leave it better than I ever found it.

We did it!

It's been quite an adventure from March 2014 to March 2025 honey, & I'm excited for the next decade. I love doing life with you, whether in Vegas at 2am or at home on the couch at 3pm.

A little (or a lot) late on posting my amazing Fall/Halloween dog mom pics from Krista Huss Photography , but that's alright! They're so good, I'll share them all year long 😍

I wish I could remember who I got their custom bandanas from at the Apple Festival, because I'd love to shout them out for hooking me up with the EXACTLY perfect description of each of our kiddos 😂

FWIW, Krista is my neighbor, & having someone close by to barter farm sitting & other services with is THE BEST! I wholeheartedly think we need to do more trading & bartering in life. I got the better end of the deal this time though, for sure!
