🦷🎉 Happy Dental Assistants Recognition Week! 🎉🦷

This week we celebrate the real MVPs of the dental office… our amazing dental assistants!

They keep the rooms running, the instruments ready, the schedule moving, and occasionally even keep Dr. Austin in line. 😄

From passing instruments before we even ask, to calming nervous patients, to fixing whatever random thing breaks in the office that day — our assistants somehow manage to do it all.

Truth be told, the dentists just show up… the assistants make everything actually work.

We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, skill, and great attitudes our assistants bring every day. If you see them this week, be sure to give them a big thank you! 👏

Dr. Mooney will be heading out on maternity leave soon as she prepares to welcome her sweet new baby! We are so incredibly excited for her and this special season of life. Please join us in wishing her and her growing family all the best!

While she’s away, our patients are in wonderful hands. We have arranged for an excellent fill-in doctor who shares our commitment to high-quality, compassionate care and clinical excellence. Your treatment, comfort, and experience will continue to be our top priority — just as always.

❄️ Snow Day Update – Monday ❄️

Due to winter weather conditions, Austin Dentistry will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, for a snow day. Our top priority is the safety of our patients and team.

We hope everyone enjoys a little extra time to stay warm, safe, and maybe build a snowman ☃️

Austin Dentistry will be operating on a delayed schedule tomorrow due to current conditions.

All patients with morning appointments have been contacted. Our parking lot and walkways have been cleared, and we will recheck conditions again in the morning to ensure everyone’s safety.

Weather Advisory ❄️

As winter weather moves into our area, we hope all of our patients and their families stay safe during the expected ice storm.

Austin Dentistry is closely monitoring local conditions and will assess road safety and weather conditions to determine whether we will be open on Monday. If any schedule changes or closures are necessary, our patients will be notified directly, and updates will be shared.

For our patients: if you experience a dental emergency during the storm, please call our after-hours emergency number, and we will assist as conditions safely allow.

Additionally, for our patients in the Lincolnton area, if there is an urgent situation and it is safe and lawful to do so, Dr. Austin may be able to assist with helping patients safely exit their home during an emergency. This would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and only when conditions allow for safe assistance.

Your safety—on the roads and at home—is our top priority. Please take precautions, stay warm, and check back for updates.
