Though little spoken of now, in some places the old custom of leaving offerings for the Fae still lingers. Small tokens placed at the base of certain trees, posies of flowers, a chosen stone, feathers caught on the wind, laid with quiet care. These gestures are simple, but they carry weight. They speak to a time when the land was known to be alive with presence. The memory of the land wights and dryads still remains. In the hush beneath an ancient oak, in the shimmer of leaves where no wind stirs. Such offerings are not made to be seen, but to acknowledge what still listens, just out of sight.
