Lindsay Medical Plaza is looking for a reliable, friendly person to join our team as phlebotomist & additional responsibilities in medical assistant responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws
• Maintain patient comfort and safety
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Accurately document procedures
Clinical Duties:
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection (as applicable)
• Administer medications per provider orders and scope of practice
• Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and follow infection control protocols
Administrative Duties:
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries
• Process lab orders and follow up on results
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
What We’re Looking For:
• Comfortable with all age groups
• Strong venipuncture skills
• Dependable and patient-focused
Qualifications:
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (or required, if applicable)
• Prior phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule: Full Time
Location:409 South Main Street, Lindsay, Ok
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
