Our mission at Dauphin County Doulas is to “Support Each Wave.” Support, no matter where you are in pregnancy or postpartum; no matter where you birth or how you want to birth.

Not only will we give you all the support you want and need, we will give you all the latest evidence-based research to help you make informed decisions.

We believe information is the key to have an empowered birth.

Steph Landis is a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and Herbalist who has been serving the central Pennsylvania birthing community for the past 20 years. Her passion for nurturing her doula clients and study of herbalism inspired her to create her healing salve recipe, which has helped hundreds of birthing parents heal throughout their postpartum, breastfeeding and baby/family care journeys. Ana has been a licensed massage therapist for 15 years with training in prenatal and postpartum, stretch therapy, cupping, guasha, TMJ/buccal/intraoral, and more. She is also a yoga instructor with prenatal certification. Ana enjoys working with anyone who is on the journey to self-care and sees it as an honor to be trusted with that mission.

Dr. Lori Cockley has a special interest and advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), commonly known as “tongue-ties” and “lip ties.” She is a member of the International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals (IATP) and has trained nationally and internationally with some of the most renowned names in the field. She has mentored and trained other doctors and team members, has authored several peer reviewed articles and has lectured internationally on the subject. Since 2012, Dr Cockley has successfully treated thousands of tongue-tie cases of all ages. In 2018, the Pennsylvania Tongue-Tie Center, an affiliate of East Berlin Smiles, was formed. PTTC was one of the first in the nation to incorporate supportive TOTs rehabilitation therapies and surgical corrections under one roof.

The Birth Circle doulas began as a community-based doula team in 2004 with the mission to understand and meet the medical and socioeconomic needs of underserved communities in the greater Pittsburgh area. With equity and inclusiveness as a core value of the team, we work to provide a safe space for all expectant and laboring families. In December 2024, The Birth Circle expanded its services to Central PA by integrating the doula team at UPMC Harrisburg into the patient care teams of labor and delivery, maternity and outpatient provider offices.
