It was a blast from the past this month for participants of The Gathering, Lyngblomsten's respite program for older adults with early- to mid-stage memory loss. During these weeks, they enjoyed reminiscing slideshows of history and everyday life throughout the '50s, '60s, and '70s. Musician Michael Riddle visited during the '60s week to play music of that decade, and Will Quie (the son of a volunteer) played live '70s music the next week. Participants also engaged in several art projects, including a soda fountain collage painting, disco ball mixed media, and groovy '70s swirl paintings. And of course there were decade-appropriate wardrobes as well. ☮️🎨
