Did you know that Glenburn Senior Living in Linton began as Glenburn Rest Haven Home for the Aged? The facility was originally founded in the spring of 1946 with a mission to provide care and comfort for older adults in our community.

At the time, the home had a capacity of 102 beds and included three small lounge rooms, a barber shop, beauty shop, and office rooms. It was considered very modern for its time and was approved by the Indiana State Board of Health.

The founder of Glenburn was Deaconess Nola D. Yoder, a Methodist deaconess who also served as the superintendent. Under her leadership, the home quickly became an important place of care in our community. Early records show that 968 people had been admitted to the home, supported by two registered nurses and a staff of 41 individuals.

Over the decades, Glenburn has continued that same mission — providing compassionate care, community, and support for seniors in Linton and throughout Greene County.

🎉 In April 2026, Glenburn Senior Living will proudly celebrate its 80th Anniversary!

We look forward to celebrating eight decades of history, memories, and the many residents, families, and staff members who have been part of the Glenburn story.
