I always enjoy working with Alison (Impact Gold). And, as always, Gator taught me a new drill. I like this one, especially for windmill pitchers that stride across their bodies.

Brody (DFW Twins) is the most recent addition to the SW Throwing Academy. He is super young, but learned so so quickly. I enjoyed working with him very much and look forward to seeing him again after a couple weeks of “homework.“

Got to see these ladies play in an awesome, come from behind 7th-inning win last night. They all played well and made significant contributions to a well-deserved team win. Jada had left field covered and knocked in Gracie twice offensively. Gracie had 2 great catches defensively, got on base 2 of 3 times and scored 2 runs. Katie was a vacuum cleaner at shortstop and drilled one off the centerfield fence offensively. Cheridan, as always, took care of her business at the plate. Congrats, Lady Roos!

Got to see these 3 young ladies pitch last night. Abigail, Allison and Rhyan are all beginner pitchers, but with only a couple weeks of “homework,” they all performed well last night in a big pressure situation for beginners. I am excited to follow their progress now that they have pitching in a game situation under their belts. They are a talented bunch.

After just a couple of weeks of “homework,” this 12-year-old is putting it all together so nicely! Brinley (Weatherford Christian School) is working so hard and is super strong. Further evidence that working hard makes a difference!

Everleigh (BC Fastpitch 12u Jacobson) was on fire last night! Coach Sage made a nice adjustment to her footwork and she took it from there. Hit a personal best 57 mph and lived at 55 mph. An increase of 3 mph since we measured her at 52 mph January 2025. The future is bright!

Avery (Weatherford Christian School) became the newest addition to the SW Throwing Academy this morning. Although she said that she was a nervous (she probably heard how mean I am!), she did extremely well and made great progress in a short period of time. I look forward to working with her again soon.

Got to see Sage pitch in her freshman year at Springtown HS. Despite the windchill on Saturday, she pitched well and, already standing out in select softball, she is on her way to a  standout high school career.

Meet the most recent addition to the SW Throwing Academy. Rhyan (Weatherford Christian Academy) has pitched a bit in the past, but has a renewed interest. She killed it right from the first drill. I look forward to following her progress and helping out out along the way. No doubt, only good things ahead for her!

Another recent addition to the SW Throwing Academy is Kaytelee (Athletics Mercado). Here she is during her first lesson. She took to the mechanics right away, and I have a feeling that with a couple weeks of “homework“ that she will be ready to take it to the next level. She is an athlete!
