LET’S DO A KNEE INJECTION

- Knee injections consist of a combination of numbing agents lidocaine and marcaine with a long acting steroid such as Kenalog
- Knee injections work best for those with mild to moderate arthritis resulting in pain and inflammation
- Patients with prior knee replacements should not receive them due to risk of infection
- Knee injections typically provide pain relief for about 3 months
