💙🧡 CRISIS RELIEF FOR KIDS 💙🧡

We know families are struggling due to the government shutdown, and we also know it will take some time to bounce back even after things reopen. We're here to help.

📅 Wednesday, November 12th | 4–6PM
📍 The Brightside Project, 1909 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem

We’ll be distributing Crisis Relief Food Bags for children ages 3–18 from families of federal workers or SNAP benefit recipients in Columbiana and rural Mahoning County.

What to bring:
👧 If children ARE present: just show your SNAP card.
📄 If children ARE NOT present: bring your SNAP benefit letter listing the children in your household.
🪪 Federal workers: bring proof of employment and proof of children (the children themselves *OR* their birth certificate).

🍽️ Plus, the amazing Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ Mission Team will be serving a hot meal for all children and their families!
✨ On the menu: Sloppy Joe Rice Bowls!

Together, we can make sure every child has access to food and hope during this difficult time. 💙🧡

*UPDATE*

Yesterday, we were able to distribute food vouchers to over 350 Columbiana County households to help while their SNAP benefits are on hold.

While the voucher funding has been exhausted, the CAACC Healthier Community Food Pantry remains open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8 AM – 4 PM (closed on federal holidays).
